The Club was formed in its first incarnation in 1985 when a
small group of Masters swimmers banded together at Sparkhill Swimming
Club. In 1991 they were re-named Fox Hollies Masters. Membership increased
steadily and the masters section became an independent club in 1998. In
2005 FHM was re-named Birmingham Masters and is currently one of the most
successful clubs in the midlands.
We are a competitive club for swimmers
who are interested in training to compete in targeted events throughout
the year.
We currently
train at King Edwards School 5 times a week.
We
have around 80 members, most of whom are first claim but some of whom
train with us and compete for other local clubs like Camp Hill Edwardians
or Kenilworth Masters. Many of our members are also part of the Heart of
England Team.
